About Me

My name is William Bwambale and I am a Ugandan professional tour guide and conservation activist. Founder and chairman at Citizens Dream Relief Initiative a non profit making community organization.
One of my biggest passion is showing Uganda to travellers because there's a lot to see.
Also, I believe that environment protection is a must and this is why during my free time I work involving children in environmental sustainability practices or exciting them about the values of conservation. Children are leaders of tomorrow so they should be aware of the importance of treating our our Planet properly.

I consider myself to be easy - going, open minded and friendly. I like meeting new people and of course, I would be glad to show you Kasese and its surroundings! :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Am here to offer free accommodation and insight for guests traveling to Uganda.
I love meeting people and showing Uganda to visitors. I would like to introduce our culture to foreigners as well as showing them the amazing spots that my country has to offer. Uganda is a very rich country and I would like to share it with others so they can discover it from the most authentic manner and enjoy its natural beauty.

Interests

Experience exchange :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to any kind of music that can make me shake my body. I like reading wildlife conservation text books, environmental management notes and watching TV and peace building stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Exciting the kids about the values of conservation.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can spend my free time with you showing you the best spots of Kasese the gem of the Pearl of Africa and teaching you the local languages here in Kasese and Uganda at large. I really like meeting new people so I will be happy to listen to your stories or experience and learning more about your country and culture.

Also, if you would like to do a tour and you don't have anything booked yet, you should know that I am a professional tour guide with six years of working experience. So, if you want, you could book a tour with me and I could show you the most interesting Ugandan tourism destinations! :-) In this link you see the tours I do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Free accommodation and community walks. Tours, meals and transportation can be arranged for once you're at the homestay.
We can arrange to prepare meals for you but if you wish to cook your own food, you can use the kitchen. Food can be bought from local farmers or from neighboring shops and market in Kasese.
Hospital and banks are five minutes walk from my accommodation units.
