About Me
Hey all. I'm shutting down hosting until the shelter in place orders are up. I know it's super inconvenient but I gotta do this for the safety of myself and my roommates. Hope you all understand.
I helped run the Couch House in Cleveland for a year or so. I met so many cool surfers and heard so many great stories. Also, I used this site to do a cross country road trip a few years ago.
I love Pittsburgh and I think it's a great small city.
Things I like:
The Rust Belt
Traveling
Beer
Riding my bike
Video Games
Coffee
Cheap ethnic food (Indian in particular)
Dive bars
Underground music
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really like traveling, but it's always a lot better when you get to see and understand a place from the perspective of somebody that actually lives there. I'm on this site to find out what a place means to you, and what you make of it, as well as to hear some of your stories and experiences.
I've made some amazing connections with many different people, and I have this site to thank for it. Cultural exchange and hearing travelers' stories are my two favorite things about the site.

Music, Movies, and Books
Hip-hop, indie rock, punk, electronic music
I'm trying to become more of a movie buff. Got a favorite director? Tell me why they are great and where I should start.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I snuck onto the Batman set in Pittsburgh.
I went to Palestine on a Birthright-style trip.
I realize that's two.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can play some songs on guitar. I know how to build a fire from sticks. I can explain why the US education system is a total mess to foreigners and non foreigners.
I can also teach you to brew beer.
I will be relentlessly optimistic about the fate of rust belt cities. I will be an incredibly loud cheering partner at a World Cup soccer game watch party. Or I can do dishes if you're nice enough to cook for me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you tell me what to do while cooking, I can do it. Even if that's cleaning dishes. Also, stories are the best form of currency when you travel.
