About Me
Hello! I am traveling for the first time in my life, and am finally getting comfortable with the ebb and flow of it all. I have loose direction, setting out to see as much as I can, experience new cities, have adventures, and make new friends everywhere I go.
I am a single male of 35, you can see me in the photos I posted. I am American born, having lived in Chicago for almost all of my life.
I am currently in internet marketing, and work on the road as I travel, which is cool, and allows me to do cool stuff everywhere I go. I hope to perfect this lifestyle, that of the digital nomad, so I can keep traveling, and keep experiencing this world! My goal is to work and travel and live cheaply, saving as much as possible over a the next few years to pay off some bills, and save up a nice little stash for starting a new life in my favorite city, whatever that is when the time comes!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet cool people and experience each city from the perspective of a local, which I have found is always the best way. I hope to make good friends everywhere I travel to share experiences, and to keep connected for future visits. I also plan to host when I find my new home base (likely Chicago, IL), so definitely wanting to be active and supportive in the community.
I also hope to save money while working on the road to help pay off some bills, and enough to establish myself in a new city with a decent apartment when the time comes to stop traveling. I plan to travel for a few years, using Couchsurfing, WWOOF, and WorkAway to meet people, live cheaply, and have great experiences around the world.
Interests
I love music, and am getting into photography. I love films, watching them mostly, but interested in film making too. I love art, fine art mostly, from renaissance to religious to modern masters. I love health, and am really getting into holistic healthcare and traditional Chinese medicine. I try to eat gluten-free, mostly vegetarian with little dairy and little meat. I love peace, and calmness, and relaxation.

Music, Movies, and Books
Right now my favorite bands are probably Wild Beasts, DIIV, TV On the Radio, Grizzly Bear, and the Foals. I really love house music too, and techno. I am listening to this all the time, and have a ton of favorite tracks on Soundcloud. My favorite movie of all time is "Big Trouble in Little China" there are so many I like, "Back to School," "Revenge of the Nerds," "Weird Science," as you can tell I grew up in the 80's. I see a ton of films at the theater, most recently "Whiplash," "Foxcatcher," "Wild," many others, always up for checking out a film. Books, Id say my favorite is George Orwell, I recently read "Keep the Aspidistra Flying" and I love it! My favorite book is "The Way of the Taoist" which is very much a spiritual guide, one that brings me much peace, and "Wild Ways: the Zen Poetry of Ikkyu," highly recommended.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I sold all my stuff and hit the road to live and work as a digital nomad, to travel the world, I think this is the most amazing thing I have done, prior my life was pretty normal, and I never really left Chicago. I am branching out, and hope to update this section regularly with new amazing experiences!

I love eastern philosophy, Chinese medicine, holistic health and naturopathy, and am happy to share what I know here. I am also pretty good with the internet marketing, and happy to help with this as well.
