About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, learn, see and experience the world!

ABOUT ME

I am a talkative, fun, honest yet non-conflicting non-smoking translator who loves her friends, travelling, English language, music, movies and urban architecture.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others the same way you wish they would treat you.
Anything can be accomplished with sensible communication.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I have only been a guest once in Milano, Italy. The experience was fun and practical, so I am looking forward to do something more than that.

Interests

I love music (I sing and play the guitar), English language (I am a life-long enthusiast and a translator), I love movies, books and reading. My life revolves around my family, work and friends. I like both interior and exterior architecture and design, as well as movies and fashion.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like various music genres, from Bonobo, NOHA, across Nightwish and Metallica to soul, Rn'B, to classical music (Bach, Mussorgskyi, Prokofyev). In music, I love powerful voices and people who understand their instruments.
A list of favourite movies would take ages to write, but it definitely includes The Shawshank Redemption, Frida, Amélie de Montmartre, Lolita...
As far as reading is concerned, I love John Irving's works, Margaret Atwood, GRR Martin, JRR Tolkien, China Miéville, Neil Gaiman, Émile Zola, John Steinbeck, David Guterson, Noah Gordon...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Historical centres of European cities, the oldest European rollercoaster (made of wood, built in 1924, located in Gothenburg, Sweden, New York City, good people everywhere :o)

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope that CS and subsequent experience will help me learn how to enjoy life in other ways that other cultures use and/or help me explain how us Czechs view the world and in what ways we are/(not) as bad as people might say ;o) Viewing issues currently washed over and over in international media through the eyes of people from that actual country might help gaining another perspective - not only on the single issue.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Czech Republic, Poland
