About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience the world as no one did before.

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going guy who loves food, drinks, art, languages and traveling. I currently work in Marseille as an English teacher in secondary school.

I love slow travel. (Re)discovering places. Socializing with people from all over the world. Being open to crazy adventures. I'm more interested in discovering the everyday life of a city than its most famous monuments.

Apart from that I love to prepare good meals to share with friends.

PHILOSOPHY

The journey is definitely part of the trip!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love hosting people and help them discover the city. When I travel, I always try to offer a typical french meal to my hosts to give them a taste of France.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS has been an amazing experience until now. My first experience as a CS was in Norway, but I have also met a lot of members in Argentina and Switzerland! CS is definitely the best option to quickly meet the greatest guides and loveliest souls.

Interests

I love travelling, cooking, hiking, bike riding and going out for drinks with friends. I also like to chill and stay at home watching movies and reading books. I loooooove going to museums. There was a time when I wondered if I could spend my whole life in The Louvre, but I’ve now been conquered by the thousand shades of blue of the Mediterranean sea.

Music, Movies, and Books

- I generally listen (and sing) to catchy pop music but I also highly enjoy disco, house, Latino pop, Classical, Chanson française & Vintage Brazilian Songs... Some of my favorite music artists are Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Vivaldi, Jacques Brel, Billie Eilish, Buena Vista Social Club, Céline Dion, Dalida, Lana Del Rey, Lizzo, Rihanna and Vampire Weekend.
- Some of my favorite books: Harry Potter (J.K. Rowling), Jeder stirbt für sich allein (Hans Fallada), The secret River (Kate Grenville), En finir avec Eddy Bellegueule (Édouard Louis), La cantatrice chauve (Eugène Ionesco).
- Some of my favorite movies are: Moulin Rouge (Baz Luhrmann), Titanic (James Cameron), Marie-Antoinette (Sofia Coppola), Psycho (Alfred Hitchcock), Scream (Wes Craven), Les amours imaginaires (Xavier Dolan), Parasites (Bong Joon Ho).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Boarded on an unexpected sail trip in Norway and got caught in stormy weather!
- Crossed half of Argentina hitchhiking. Twice!
- Lived the simple life in Piedra Parada, Chubut, Argentina <3
- Met a bunch of giraffes on a hike in Malawi.
- Slept in a house full of snakes and iguanas in the middle of the Swiss mountains.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and share my favorite recipes. Sweet or savory ;)
I love travelling (of course) and I would gladly share some amazing travelling secrets with those who deserve it.
I’ve studied languages and I think they are a great conversation theme. And if you want to practice a language I know, I would gladly spend hours chatting with you.
