About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel Europe with my partner Carly. We hope to experience natural beauty, connect with old and new friends, and learn about inspiring community projects!

ABOUT ME

I recently moved to Hamilton after living the last 10 years in Montreal. I would say that I'm low-key and lighthearted, and love to find lots of reasons to laugh (including at myself!). I just finished a degree in Religious Studies, and am eager for some adventure after many long years studying!

PHILOSOPHY

I'd say that my philosophy is to live happily, bravely, and gently.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A little bit of hosting, a little bit of surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I chouchsurfed when I was on the West Coast of Canada a couple summers ago. The person I contacted about hosting me turned out to be away for the weekend, so he put me in touch with his friends who hosted me. I slept on a couch by the firepit in the backyard!! Luckily it didn't rain:-) I also couchsurfed during a visit to the United States, and had an amazing experience! I haven't been in a position to host since my recent move, but my roommates and I did host couchsurfers in Montreal, and it was a great experience!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a variety of music, though I'm not particularly choosy. I like folk and hip-hop mostly, and if you stay with us I can introduce you to some good Canadian hip-hop:-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A two-month bicycle trip across Canada with my best friend.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know quite a lot about pickling and fermenting - Dill Pickles, Sauerkraut, Kombucha, Jun, Water Kefir...etc. I can patch bicycle tires too:-) I am interested in learning whatever hosts have to share about their local area, and am especially interested in inspiring community projects of people helping people and taking care of the earth. I love discussions about permaculture, gift economy - anything mind and soul expanding!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If we stay with you I will sing you a song!

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Germany, Greece, Ireland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada
