About Me

They say, "I'll never regret the things I've done, but the things I did not do. "

I am comfortable with living in cross culture and open to new things. I know I will be grateful that I make it when I look back on my life in the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always want to try something new. I have been going on backpacking in recent years, including Myanmar in 2016.

Being on couchsurfing is my next objective that I want to achieve in my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Shorter version:
+ Being a helpx helper for three weeks in a small costal town of the UK (just so you know it's a worldwide volunteering programme in which you work for a local business or farm and receive free food and accommodations in return)

+ Having lived in Spain and managed to survive without knowing how to speak Spanish, given I was living a small Hispanic town and not everyone could (or was willing to) speak other languages.

Long version:
This is very recent [TLDR]:
Visited Tokyo the other time and arrived at Haneda late at night. I was running across the airport concourse with my suitcase and looking like an idiot, but I had no time to care how people looked at me. I then made it to the last monorail service of the day and was on my way to my best friend’s. I took a seat on the metro train while a teenager group of three came and stood next to me. Coincidentally, after a few stations, a girl threw up right next to me and people were crawling away to the next carriage as if there was a disaster. Luckily her vomit did not spill over my clothes, yet I eventually got off at the next station and rushed to the next carriage before continuing my metro journey. As soon as I arrived at his station me and my friend were stopped by the police and were asked about what we were doing (in a polite manner). Both of our passport/ID were checked, I was freaking out due to the language barrier but still managed to keep my cool. On the last day of visit we were on our way to the Keisei Skyliner station and my friend was interviewed by the television. It was fun, of course.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a native of Hong Kong and having travelled globally,
I speak native Chinese - Cantonese and Mandarin,
and English with high degree of fluency.

Cantonese is my mother language.
I took a course in Mandarin and received qualification from Mandarin Proficiency test. I consider myself as a Mandarin native speaker as well.

I am learning Spanish for leisure and had spent a month in a Spanish university for Spanish language.
