ABOUT ME

I'm a somewhat cautious adventurer looking to expand my horizons. I'm in the Navy for a few more months, then I'm onto something new. My goal is to eventually find a career that I'm passionate about, because I believe that no person should go through life hating what he / she does for a living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not a whole lot yet. I met my first CSer a few weeks ago and had a good experience. Hoping to borrow a few couches in the next few weeks and then return the favor once I get settled into a house in the summer / fall.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing from the CS website per se, but I have crashed my fair share of couches / floors in high school and college. Now that I'm "grown up", I don't do that too much any more (as the wife tends to frown upon it), however I love meeting new people and seeing new places, so this website just goes hand in hand with that.

Interests

I like to fish, listen to music, travel, take pictures, and meet interesting people. I'm always searching for the perfect Margarita recipe. If you can make a good Margarita, we can be good friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of classic rock, but I have everything from classical music to hip hop in my music collection. If I couchsurf at your place, I'll make you a cd (just remind me). As far as movies, I have a random assortment of action flicks (ranging from Rambo to The Matrix) good stories (Big Fish, Forrest Gump) and comedy ( I occasionally like to sing the first line of "Spidey Pig" from The Simpsons movie)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to see Old Faithful this summer when I visited Yellowstone National Park w/ my wife and her family. That was a cool experience.

I've also traveled to some cool places with the Navy - Bahrain, Dubai, Malta, Italy, Portugal, The Seychelles, Somalia, the Suez Canal, Spain, and Crete.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm kind-of an expert online shopper. If there's a particular product that I'm looking for, and then after I find the cheapest place, I open another window and google "(website) coupon" to see if I can get an additional discount. I hate paying full price for anything and have saved a lot of money this way.
