About Me

ABOUT ME

I love new adventures and traveling. I'm currently on hiatus from university, and decided to move out to Vancouver and figure out my place in this world. In the mean time I decided to start a tutoring company and am absolutely loving this city.

PHILOSOPHY

"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality is nothing more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few summers ago I met an amazing host in Seattle and stayed with him for 3 weeks, learning about the city, culture, and making great friends along the way.

Interests

I love cycling and racing my bike, cooking, and maintaining my tutoring company (which hopefully goes well)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a bit of everything. I know it sounds cliche. White Stripes, RHCP, Rise Against, Incubus, In Flames

Some movies I've enjoyed: The Life of David Gale, The Goonies, The Prestige, and I'm sure some other wild ones.

Books: Into the Wild and The Count of Monte Cristo

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite experiences was last summer when I stayed in a century old fisherman cabin in Gotland, in the middle of the Baltic sea. The cabins were right on the water and it was possible the most refreshing, life altering experience to stay here for a few days, with no electricity, no cell phone, and wake up every morning and enjoy a beautiful sunrise.

Countries I’ve Visited

Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, United States
