CURRENT MISSION
'Stoking the star-maker machinery with the popular song'
ABOUT ME
I go to university in Halifax, on the Atlantic coast of Canada. I share a flat with five amazing friends who I go to school with.
Admittedly, lots of time is spent in the student bubble.
Luckily, this bubble is excellent! There's a pretty good party in the city, and some very nice cafes, parks and libraries to compliment.
PHILOSOPHY
Mmmm, generally hidden truth and unspeakable wonder.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been hosted a bunch of times, formally and informally in Canada, U.S.A., France, Germany, and Switzerland, and I suppose that I have hosted some informal couchsurfers If we are counting visitors. Unfortunately, at university the living spaces for hosting have not been ideal. Open couch to come in the future, I promise!
Interests
I'll be honest, I generally enjoy most bounties of life. Except maybe chronic tv watching, computer nerding, and telephone talking.
Some of my passions include walking, appreciating urban horticulture (anything outdoorsy, really... hiking, sports, you name it), people watching, reading, listening to the radio.
(all of which sounds quite boring now that I'm reading it over...)
And,
I'm really looking forward to finding out about you and where you're from.

Music, Movies, and Books
"moi non plus"-Serge Gainsbourg.
nostalgia, futurism... sure, life is complicated.
Musics... Anything from old-time country to rock n' roll to Klezmer, and even hip-hop. Film-wise, some favourite directors, David Cronenberg, David Lynch, and Jim Jarmusch. 90's Cartoons are pretty cool too.
And to add a note on some favourite authors, Haruki Murakami, W.G. Sebald, Jorge Luis Borges, Homer, Pierre Berton (makes reading Canadian history awesome!), Pablo Neruda, Joyce, Vonnegut.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in residence for a year with 300 other kids at an intimate liberal arts college was definitely one of the most formative experiences of my life so far.
