I like to travel, see the world, and find new and unexpected things everywhere I can. New adventures, new people, new places. I spend most of my time in ridding bicycles, planning fanciful bike trips, and occasionally realizing them. I am laid back and easy going about most things. I live and breath sarcasm, and try to find humor in most things.

PHILOSOPHY

I am out to restore hope and faith in humanity. My plucky American optimism, and trust in chance will win over your cold heart. At least it always works in the movies!

Been a member for many years occasionally accepting guests, and always having fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

From the couches of friends to those of strangers, I have slept on many. However most without such a wonderful service such as this. I have found that staying with real people is the best way to experience a city, a country, or a culture. Before I found CouchSurf most of my experience came from meeting people on the street. Either when I was traveling or when I was just wandering about the streets of my own town. All of my experiences have been valuable whether good or bad.

Interests

Obviously I like travel, but I am also a big fan of books, bikes, history, and such things. I like to meet people, and if possible amaze them and myself.

Over the course of one day I fed a giraffe, caressed a rhinoceros, and knocked over Baryshnikov.
