Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We want to be able to share our knowledge of our country based on our experience traveling around. This is a good forum to be able to meet new people and understand their culture. We would be able to take our guests around depending on availability. We want to share info about good home stays for our guests travelling to remote places.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have not personally couch surfed before, but i had stayed with many families all over India. In Himachal (My fav Destination) i stayed with a watchman and his family for 10 days to explore the regions in and around Kugti. The place is so remote that I had to walk 12km to get to that village. The little hut i stayed in was probably the best experience i ever had. Another such instance was a place near Pang in Ladakh. I stayed with an old lady in her tent for 3 days. It was so remote that only 5 people lived there. I will never forget those hot parathas she served every morning to get me out of the bed and go exploring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I came face to face with a Tiger while searching for treasure in Western Indian jungles. For a brief moment we stood looking at each other before the tiger gave its own version of English nod accompanied by "alright" and walked away.
Actually thats is not the most amazing thing that happened to me. More Interesting stories for people I connect with :-)
