About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Too see the world from a non tourist point of view
ABOUT ME
Bonjour, Hello. I'm Carlos, you could say that I dont really belong in Canada more than I belong in Colombia. My family has always moved around. From Italy to South America (where I was born) and now to Canada. I'am currently doing my Master's Degree in molecular biology. I also have a small photography company with a friend.
There is nothing more interesting than sitting in a local coffee shop in a foreign country during rush hour, to be rocked by the rhythm of their language, eating their food or just meeting new people.
Yes it is very cool to take pictures of the Eiffle tower and everything, but I personally prefer to understand the city or the country by its people and its culture, not by their infrastructures or their architectural achievements.
You are more than welcome to come visit me in Montreal, its a great city with lots of cool stuff to live, not to visit (big difference from my point of view). If you'r interested give me a shout.
PHILOSOPHY
I seek to bring something that would contribute to the general world knowledge.
I also believe in learning from the people less than books. (I do read to...)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently redesigning Montreal's image, by changing how tourist perceive Montreal through souvenir pictures. My small company is creating montages of photographs that represent the Montreal that I would show to a couchsurfer or a backpacker. Even if I dont have the fortune of receiving you in my humble house, you could still contact me for some tips around Montreal or Quebec.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
For the moment no. But I have been traveling in hostels for 4 years now, I love to backpack and to get the most out of a city. I consider my self a righteous and trustworthy person that likes to explore new cultures. This is why I have undertaken couchsurfing this year, also because all my friends have loved the experience.hehe
