About Me

I'm a Brazilian, which means that I'm a really open person that doesn't care at all about talking to strangers about their or my life. It also means that for me strangers can turn fast into friends and that I'm always willing to help people (even people that I don't know).
Since I lived in Germany for a while, I also learned to recognize better some boundaries between people and to give more attention to social rules that we sometimes neglect in Brazil (like being pontual, not touch someone unless the person allows it, speak lower...).
I think at the end, living in such different countries made me a very flexible person. I learned to observe more and talk less, to adequate my acts to the situation I am in and to deal with the differences in a very positive way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the idea of Couchsurfing gives people a plus in their trips. When you go to a place and stay in a hostel/hotel the information you get about what's worth doing and seeing there is limited to what you find on the internet and what you get from the receptionist. But once you are someone's guest you can really live the reality of the city and not be stuck just with the touristic points. (The opposite is also true, when you're a host you can show people that your city is much more that what they can find on the internet)

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely love electronic music! I'm mainly into deep house, tech house and techno.

About movies I prefer thriller and drama movies. Comedies are definitely not my taste.

I confess in the last years I haven't read many books. Instead, I'm more into blogs and websites related to brazilian politics, feminism, science and travelling. But if I still have to cite some of my favorite books I would never forget Harry Potter and some from a brazilian writer called Machado de Assis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 30 days in the brazilian Atlantic Rainforest, without any communication with the rest of the world, doing what I love most: research in Biology.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach samba, biology and portuguese, and share my cooking knowledge (only of brazilian food, of course). I can learn whatever you wanna teach me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, drinks and my time.
