About Me

Hi. This was long overdue for an update. I evolved from a political scientist/journalist to a communications scientist turned CEO of a tech company in Bogota. It's become my life project. PS: It's a family business :)

ABOUT ME

Creative writer, dance and party-lover, mild to wild. Sense of humor tilts heavily to the dark side. I began traveling when I was 1 month old and haven't stopped ever since. And in my travels, the world hasn't stopped to amaze and surprise me with the beautiful, deep and story-like encounters I've experienced.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess you could say I'm exploring dataism... evolutionary economics and psychology and digital humanities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting in my awesome 18th floor appartment I share with my husband and a roommate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed (officially) in Canada, Florida and hosted in my apartment in Colombia. All experiences have been amazing.

Interests

Data, algorithms, human communication and languages. Everything written: poetry, literature, creative writing, journalism, online news junky, international politics and human psychology. I have a way with language, I have clear ideas and emotions and I have a taste for communicating them. Conversation is one of my greatest pleasures. I will dance to almost any beat, since I love to party. I also love to work out.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love electronic and indie rock, electropop, tango, jazz, soundtracks, opera, hip hop and house music. I like political films, film adaptations of theater works and experimental cinema. My favorite authors are Thomas Mann, Fernando Pessoa and journalist Christopher Hitchens.

Come on Pilgrim - Pixies: Nicola Cruz - Prender El Alma; El Búho- Cenotes; Bonobo - Migration; Four Tet - New Energy; Pantha Du Prince - The Triad, Black Noise; Ólafur Arnalds - Island Songs and The Chopin Project; Caribou - Swim and Our Love; Call Super - Arpo; Nico Jaar - Sirens (especially "No"); Lucho Bermudez - any anthology

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life-changing field research with Colombian war victims in remote regions of the country. Sunsets at the Colombian Pacific. Falling in love. Going undercover to report on labor abuses of undocumented migrants in the U.S. Living in New York for three years. Starting a company with an idea I came up during an acid trip. Running said company. Falling in love...
