About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience everything

ABOUT ME

I recently relocated to New York and settled into the East Village. Why? Because it's the greatest city on earth! In other words, you should come visit.

I'm constantly traveling for work which is awesome, because I can't sit in one place very long. My job doesn't doesn't allow for much free time but I my coworkers know me as "the sightseer" b/c I make it a priority to experience wherever I'm at. There's no detour too big, no historical marker too small, no tourist trap too corny - for I am Super Tourist!

I'm also up for any adventure and will try anything once.

I've kind of fallen off the blogging train since I started my job a few months ago, but my old one has some interesting travel stories if you're into that sort of thing - codyineurope.blogspot.com

PHILOSOPHY

"I feel pretty lame because I don´t really have a personal philosophy"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed once, hosted several times and attended lots of local events. I'll do anything possible to help a fellow couchsurfer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted, surfed and helped show people around as well. Overall CS is probably the greatest thing ever invented. Viva la Couchsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

For movies I prefer Comedies and Action flicks.

I can enjoy any type of music but alt/brit Rock is my favorite.

David Sedaris is the greatest writer ever! I also just finished "The Undutchables" which is a hilarious expats take on Holland. Otherwise its mostly news magazines and websites. I was a poli sci major, its what I do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The 20009 NieuwJaarsduik in Schevedingen, Holland. Me and thousands of other people took a dip in the frigid North Sea at 10am on New Years day. It was def one of the coolest things I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm mostly into the sharing of things, especially stories. Travel stories, funny stories, serious stories, made up stories...I'll listen to them all.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Belize, Costa Rica, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Guatemala, Ireland, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States
