Every day is a gift. I am so thankful for the life I have. I want to share this life and joy with other people and make the best of every moment. I find more pleasure in giving than receiving. I am generally optimistic, look for the good in others, and love to hear others life stories.
I eat organic and natural as much as possible.

I love to travel. And I love meeting new people. My daughter has hosted and been a guest through couch surfing many times, and has had many great experiences. So I would like to try it, also. While vacationing in Australia a few years ago, we met many "back packers" who were great people. And I thought then, it would be fun to give people like this a place to stay, as they travel. That was before couch surfing.

I love to ride my motorcycle. '07 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. Her name is "Serotina". And we are good to each other.
I love to ride ATVs and snowmobiles.
I love a good glass of wine, european cheese, and all different kinds of national foods. Indian, and Chinese, being my favorites currently. I do not go out to eat very often, because I enjoy cooking and the home cooked meals are usually better tasting.
I like to read novels.
I am always hungry to learn new things. My mind grows restless if it is not being fed on a regular basis.

Music: I like a broad variety of styles. Country, Classical, Jazz, Instrumental, Celtic, Latin, and Contemporary Christian.
Movies: I like drama the best. Especially if I can learn something about a place, history, or people. Romance, comedy, and some action are good, too. I prefer movies that are positive and redemptive.
Books: I really like novels from the 1800's. George McDonald, Jane Austin.... Harold Bell Wright from the mid 1900's.... Currently, it is Robert Whitlow, Tamera Alexander, Karen Hancock, Ted Dekker, and Francine Rivers.

I built a log home in Northern Minnesota, which is now my get-a-way from the stress of the big city. I snorkeled the great barrier reef in Australia. I was in Haiti for 10 days, and helped build a house for a family. Incredible experience!

I love to learn from others. Usually experiential and hands-on. Everything from physical activities and skills, to emotions and psychological understanding, and spiritual issues and belief.
Therefore, I love to share with and teach others, if they are willing to learn. I do not claim to know much, and will admit when I do not know something. But I will share what I do know. And it is a pleasure to do so.

I can provide a warm inviting place to relax and sleep and even get a good meal. I would want you to make yourself feel at home. A place where you can escape the pressures of life.
I have several guest bed rooms and bathrooms. It is a log home on a lake in Northern Minnesota.
I do not have any TV service, but do have internet, phone, and DVD players for movies.
I am a busy guy, so I may not always be there. But I would be open to you coming and going at your leisure.
