About Me
As someone from Florida, I can promise that everything you’ve heard about us is true Right now I’m an exchange student in Japan, focusing on Japanese language and International affairs, but soon I’ll return to my home uni. After I graduate, I’d really love to travel across Central Asia, because I have a huge interest in Persian/Turkic culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Especially when traveling solo, hotels can get so isolating, and hostels have the opposite issue. I wanted to be able to really meet new people, rather than just interacting many.
Interests
More than anything, I love talking with someone who’s willing to bring me into their passion or teach me about their hometown/culture. Personally, I love philosophy/politics, and I think I’m open minded enough to talk about this with almost anyone. I also love cooking, so I’d love to learn new recipes from hosts and guests.

Music, Movies, and Books
For music, there’s few artists I love more than Melody’s Echo Chamber, Se So Neon, Kali Uchis, and Gorillaz. I remember that reading the book Siddhartha really changed the way I thought, and I swear I could watch Fallen Angels every day for the rest of my life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably my favorite thing has been collecting sand on 星砂. Iriomote island has this beach where star shaped sand gathers, and filling a bottle with it during a winter storm is one of my favorite memories.
