About Me
Hello! My name is Carolina, but most people call me Cadi. I'm a Journalist and, currently, I work as a Social Media manager and a Magazine Editor in Brazil.
I'm very passionate about life and my goal is to enjoy every opportunity at its fullest. This also means meeting different people with their huge range of experiences, and seizing each moment. Trading stories is maybe my favourite sport of all - but I also love swimming, biking and watching Football (not soccer) on TV.
In my free hours, mostly I like to make music, to read, to go out with my camera to take pictures of people on the streets and to study languages [currently learning Spanish]. I also enjoy watching animated cartoons and musical TV shows/movies. Travelling is my most absolute passion, and you can see some nice pics I've taken in my travels at @viajeronima, on instagram.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling, meeting new people and learning new languages. I really think the world has a lot to offer, and I don't want to miss on all those amazing things.

Music, Movies, and Books
In general, I really enjoy cartoons (both on film and on TV), and The Incredibles is my favourite movie of all times. Currently, I've settled for some animes and sitcoms (real life's already been too harsh on all of us, right?)
Regarding music, The Beatles and Muse are my absolute favourites since I was a teen; currently, I've been listening to Måneskin and Lana Del Rey a lot, besides all the Piseiros and new MPB artists, such as Duda Beat and Rodrigo Alarcon.
In books, Milan Kundera is definetly one of my favourite writers ever. I tend to like literature that can mix storytelling with some poetry, and I think he does it well. Also does Clarice Lispector. My favourite book of all times, tho, is by Gabriel García Marquez, 'One Hundred Years of Solitude'. Currently, I'm reading Anna Karenina, by Leo Tolstoi.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hugging a sloth and swimming with dolphins in the Amazonian Rain Forest;
Travelling by myself to many many places (in Brazil and abroad);
Working on a 10 hour event on LGBT rights;
Having my head completely shaved;
Living and studying in Chennai, south India, for five months;
Seeing the Taj Mahal;
City hopping in Europe during winter;
Living on a Camping Site in Alto Paraíso for a month and a half;
Catching an airplane during the COVID Pandemics (lots of amazing pictures; don't recommend the tense situation, tho);
Germinate and grow an avocado tree in my apartment;
Teach, Learn, Share
I feel like learning and teaching are things we do without even trying, just by sharing experiences - and I'd love to learn about whatever you're passionate about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share all of my own culture, about Brazil and its regional cultures, besides many stories of my travelling experiences. I can also offer my services with photography, social media, translation and text revision; and also, some veg experiments.
