About Me
Been logged out for 7 years and just opened my inbox, so sorry to those I unknowingly ignored 😭 I thought my account was offline.
To sum up I'm a tour guide - lecturer, former globe trotter who loves to meet people and learn about different cultures. I just love visiting the world. All about keeping an open mind.
But I'm also a reenactress (I used to do medieval western martial arts but had to quit as I keep choosing to live in places where no one study them) and got recently into hiking (30's hitting hard they said). I tend to say I love rocks under any form : caves, mountains, breathtaking geological wonders, castles, cathedrals... But people can also find me cheering (or most likely screaming) for my rugby team.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting with people from the places we visit is so important! This is such a great way to discover new things, new culture, and maybe new friends!
I can't see myself stuck in a lonely room anymore I need to exchange, to meet the world and share with people.
Interests
I'm a huge art lover : visiting museums, going to see an opera, a concert, spending hours in a city to admire some architecture, scenery etc... That's the kind of things that make me as happy as if I won the lotery. Recently my love for built heritage led me to fall in love with natural heritage as everything is connected and I even ended up working in touristic and prehistoric caves.
Years ago I discovered Historical European Martial Arts. It allowed me to open myself to new interests: history, sewing (we make our own costumes for reenactment). It ended up learning about living history and I'm now working in a castle making a living out of this passion.
And finally as most of us on CS, I just love travelling. I feel the need to go abroad, to meet other cultures, to watch other landscapes, to see with my own eyes how amazing is the world and to hear with my own ears stories from people I meet!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Reaching 5420m high, working daily with 30k years old paintings, daring to quit everything to try new things.
Teach, Learn, Share
Talking about rocks, Prehistory, History, teaching as much as learning from each other's interests.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love having long talks about mutual cultures, cooking dishes I learnt about while travelling, maybe a sword fighting initiation... I also ended up making a custom shield out of a toilet seat once!
