Resumen
Sobre mí
I’m originally from north-east England but have lived in Glasgow for 10 years. Within the last decade I’ve work-travelled in Greece, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Finland and the US. I love holidays alone as there’s time to explore without restriction, spend time with the people you meet and read plenty of books over great cups of coffee. I’m outgoing and always up for socialising but equally happy at home with a good podcast and a cool beer :) I love a healthy debate so getting to know where people stand on certain issues is always a bonus but I wouldn’t describe myself as militant about anything - very much open to seeing all sides.
I am hoping to start a career in social work next year but am currently working as an Online English Teacher with kids and adults, and as a Care Worker in a hospice and in sheltered accommodation services. I have done SO many jobs in the past, anyone looking for eclectic life stories, look no further!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I love travelling alone and find that meeting locals is the best way to find out what’s good to see and do. More than that though, I love those intense, interesting connections that can only seem to be made while travelling.
Intereses
Walking for miles in my chosen destinations, reading, drinking coffee, vegan food (not strict vegan and don’t care what dietary preference my host has, in open!), theatre, cinema, dancing, conversation, YouTube yoga (it’s cheap and convenient!)

Music - all and sundry (no country, techno or thrash metal though!)
Books - fiction, mostly, but am enjoying non-fiction works exploring the psychology of human sexuality and partnership
Algo increíble que he hecho
I’m a lifelong volunteer - no, seriously, I started age 5! I was a conservation volunteer for many years then moved on to volunteer with children and disabled adults. Currently, I volunteer in a prison play area for kids and have done for six years, and am hopefully about to start helping out at refugee aid events.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I’m a CELTA qualified English Language teacher. Maybe you already speak English but if you have a friend or family member who would like a session, I’d happily meet with them for free!
For hosts with children, I have a Police Scotland Disclosure certificate for working with kids, and would be more than happy to do some supervised English play sessions :)
