About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live, enjoy, learn, respect.
ABOUT ME
I am and always have been active person. I enjoy all outdoor activities and love to learn new things about people, places, and the world we live in. I am currently working in Salida, Colorado as a telemetry tech and CNA to rack up hours and apply to Physicians Assistant School. I am still fairly new to Salida, but I can still show you around or we can go check out something I've never been to before.
PHILOSOPHY
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain-
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can sometimes host surfers (I have a strange schedule, so I may be working while you want to stay). I can also show surfers around Salida and the hiking/biking trails near by, as well as the wonderful beer brewed in the area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet, but I'm excited to get rolling!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Amazon River on a rickety wooden boat. Most notably when we were deep in the jungle and our guide said "We don't go down that branch of the river," motioning to a branch veering to our left "because there are local tribes there who would attack and probably eat us. We don't go over there and they don't come over here and it all works out." The next day we saw a wild boar stampede and had sticks thrown at us by monkeys in the trees.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach:
The essentials of rock climbing, sport climbing skills, belaying, climbing techniques, anchor placement, proper use of gear/knots, etc.
Beginner photography/how to use all of those switches, knobs and do-hickies on your camera, and what they do.
I can share:
Some fabulous food joints around the area.
A few great scenic walks or bike rides.
Misc. tidbits of knowledge.
