ABOUT ME

I am a geek by heart. Knowledge means the world to me. I've been theorycrafting about anything and everything my whole life, therefore sometimes I miss the practical (and social) part of life.

My approach on life is like a computer game. When I play it, I really dig deep and play enthusiastically, however there are periods that I shut myself down (and say, go travelling). This delicate balance is sometimes the oxygen that I badly need.

PHILOSOPHY

No fear, no regret, no attachment. Life is a game; play it by the rules and obtain a chance to see the end boss.

Me and my wife are ready to open our home to open-minded, friendly travellers from all around the world. We have many friends telling us to join CS to open the door for many new experiences. It's time we follow their suggestion.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I usually have a light work schedule, so depending on the plan, I could help you around the city or just take you out for a beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am heavily into sci-fi and fantasy fiction. Tolkien, F. Herbert, Poe, Lovecraft, U. Eco, in short, I am drawn to anything with an unusual idea in it. No, I'm not a fan of Orhan Pamuk and Elif Şafak. One Turkish writer I adore is the unique and only Ihsan Oktay Anar.

Music: Mostly punk and heavy metal (none of the electronic hipster stuff), but I'm open for anything new and exciting

I usually get bored of long and slow movies, there is no specific director I dig other than Tarantino and Peter Jackson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't really believe in amazing things. As a gamer and sci-fi worm, I believe I have an above average imagination and I don't think anything would really amaze me unless seven seas are parted and hell itself would unleash onto our world. I've had my share of some adventures when I was younger, though.
