One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Coliseum for the first time left me awestruck. Such a monumental piece of history sitting smackdown in the middle of downtown Rome was unbelievable. City adventures and medieval life aligned.

Biking out to the fields in the outskirts of Davis. Seeing the sunflower fields in full bloom was inspiring. Nothing like nature to remind you of everything that is so full of life, and to get you back to your feet feeling rejuvinated and refreshed.

I spent a day in Istanbul before flying back to the US. That one day taught me to be more down to Earth. Seeing all types of people in the baazar...tourists, fashionistas, villagers, locals all searching for the bargain price. Sipping cay on the Bosphorus watching the fishermen prepare their fish sandwiches. It was a therapeutic visit, repairing my lost faith in humanity.
