我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm a big fan of Couchsurfing for a lot of reasons, but one of the biggest ones is, I heart traveling! I feel like people can learn a ton by traveling, and by meeting people from different backgrounds who have traveled. I've often felt a palpable difference whenever I meet people who are really well-traveled.

Everything somebody else is interested in and can talk about passionately! Aside from that... Games, game development, computer science, dance, parkour, martial arts, blacksmithing, social justice, trans and queer issues, nonbinary and women's issues, kink, coffee, beer, liquor, music... I have a saying that I use, somewhat ruefully, whenever people ask, "Have you seen X?", or "Do you read Y?" -- I don't much watch things... or read things... I usually just, do things...

Really, one of the most amazing things I've done so far in life has been staffing Game Developers Conference. Working conferences is absolutely one of the most empowering things I do in life, and the Conference Associates of GDC are an *incredible* group of people; it's like a tight-knit family that's always looking out for each other and supporting and uplifting each other in every way we can. And the results are incredible! :D

I can teach most anything I know! That includes:
Computer science, chemical engineering, some materials science, some calculus, I can chat about linguistics, sex positivity and kink.

I would love to teach people to juggle!

I would love to share: contact improvisation dance, positive psychology.
I can share the somewhat interesting story of my life so far, my experience as a trans person.

I can offer hosts hours and hours of good conversation, new perspectives, and new skills. I'm also a fan of helping around the house, like moldy dishes, or cobwebs in the basement (two examples from non-Couchsurfing hosts. XD) Mostly, I love to bring joy to people's worlds, in whatever form that takes! ^ω^
