CURRENT MISSION
To experience amazing people and cultures and hopefully have some kind of life epiphany, whereby I figure out what I'm meant to do with the next 70 years of my life.
ABOUT ME
Hello fellow couchsurfers. My name is Cailin Howarth and I'm a 25 year old girl who's been working in the classical music industry since graduating uni a coupes do years ago. I grew up in a small city in Queensland, Australia called Cairns and after 18 years of tropical paradise I decided to move to Melbourne to Study Music at University. Melbourne is my new home and I've been here for 5 years now.I am an outgoing person who loves to meet new people and experience new things. I haven't traveled much outside of Australia so I want to make the most of any opportunity that comes my way. I love the outdoors and although I don't go extreme sporting every weekend I love camping and generally outdoorsy type things. I also LOVE food! I have a feeling that a fair chunk of my time will be spent checking out local markets and festivals enjoying the local produce. Although I do love a good old fashion camping trip, I'm not a tomboy really. I love my vintage clothes from the 50's in particular and love any opportunity to hit up a new second hand shop that I haven't pillaged before.I have been told that I'm a hipster, and apparently according to my dress sense and music tastes I fit that category. However, in my defense I'm also into Classical music, intellectual conversation and general niceties that usually aren't connected to hipsters. I hope to get to know as many of you as possible!
PHILOSOPHY
Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Algo increíble que he hecho
I recently did a 2 week trek in Nepal and I can honestly say it was one of the most difficult but amazing things I have ever done. I definitely put myself out there by doing this trek because I'd never done anything to this extent before. At one stage I actually had to sprint with my pack on through meter high snow to avoid being buried by an avalanche... Cool stuff.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I know a lot about the music scene in Melbourne, both in a classical music sense and more modern, alternative music. I go out to see live music at least once a week and have been to almost every major music festival in Australia. Always keen on inviting new people to see the great music and cultural life Melbourne has to offer.
