About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To gain invaluable perspective and experience by meeting interesting open-minded people

ABOUT ME

I have read too much existentialist literature and am no longer sure whether or not i exist so i find reassurance in the absurdity of life. I try to experience new things as often as possible whilst not losing my appreciation for that which surrounds me on a day to day basis.

PHILOSOPHY

Try not to become complacent, ignorant or fearful of change and you should be fine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My wife (Jessie) and I try to take people every now and then although our house is small and we can only offer a fold-out couch

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A short trip around Europe, all positive experiences.
I have stayed with some amazing people and learned a lot through meeting and getting to know them, I have also hosted a few and had a great time returning the favour.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Australian films because i find them honest, funny, human and modest. They reflect my reality. My favs are Malcolm and 3 dollars. Other fav films....2001 space oddysey, lock stock, fight club, all monty python, butch cassidy and the sundance kid, chopper, into the wild... As for books i find Henry Rollins inspiring, Kafka mind bending, Milan Kendura honest and brutal and Elliot Pearlman writes truths that resonate interminably within my conciousness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking in the Himalayas of Nepal, time seems to stand still, you never feel as though you are getting any higher and every now and then some Nepalese farmer upstages you by waltzing past with a couch or the amount of timber required to build a house on his back making it difficult to continue whining about your 25kg designer backpack.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sketch moments instead of or as well as taking a photo... it will help to ingrain the moment in your memory...i learned that from Alain De Bottons book ´the art of travel.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, India, Nepal, Spain, Sweden
