About Me

I wait tables for now. The more I travel the less inclined I am to go out at home, but I still do enjoy a good movie, a night put, a museum, or something of the like. I also like an good night in, maybe playing board games or, again, watching movies. I suppose my main thing right now is school.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done the airbnb thing and the hostel thing and both are nice, but I'm very curious about the couchsurfing platform and how it might compare. Also, obviously, it would allow me a lighter budget.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music leans towards indie and some edm. Movies varies greatly. I love a lot of the classics and foreign films. Seven Samurai, 400 Blows, Y Tu Mama Támbien, Once Upon a Time in the West, City of God (A standout favorite), and plenty others. One of my favorite modern English films is Children of Men. I enjoy the director, Alfonso Cuaron, very much. Also Pixar and superhero films. I am by no means immune to popular media. Books I've enjoyed !more sci fi recently. Ender's Game in particular. I honestly don't read as much as I should.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It isn't necessarily amazing to others, but I tend to face fears more often travelling. Fear of heights is something I forget that I have until I'm confronted with it. I ziplined over the rainforest in Costa Rica, then rappelled down to some rapids immediately after. The bus around the Amalfi coast seemed like it would pour into the ocean at any moment. Looking down at the road from the heights of Lisbon's Santa Justa Elevator was nauseating. These are all wothwhilre and I'm proud of myself for facing those fears.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, I have a small handful now. Pleasant conversation. Would definitely insist on treating to some coffee or dinner, seeing as I would save so much on lodging.
