ABOUT ME

"All about you" is pretencious for a small box, I can try to start with techinical part, my name is Caio , I am Portuguese-Brazilian boy , I'm student of International Relations, although I don't know what to do with that, but I'm passionated for everything related to history, geography, politics, law, economics. I like world literature as hobby. I wish I could draw, so that would be my hobby, but unfourtunatly I have no skills for that :-p.

In my free times you will probably gonna find me at some outdoor bar , it's in bar where great ideas come from.

I want to have as more experiences as possible, so I'm here to interact with the world, there are so many people and so many stories going on and I want to take part. I consider myself very open-minded and I always try to relativise my position and see different points of view.

OK this was pretty much the standard description of most of CS users. It's clear that someone who host strangers in his/her place or get hosted in place of a stranger is an open-minded, easy-going person who loves travelling, ect, ect, ect. It's like joining a sport fan forum and say "I love sports!"

I'm sometimes critical, but I'm (sometimes)always respectful. And here is a critic: I don't understand guys who put in profile preferred gender to host:female. This is not good advertise you know, girls might think you are desperate sexual predator or you may not trust yourself enough to be close to an unknown boy, perhaps you should review your orientation :-).

I'm very devoted friend, if you are nice with me I will be always greatful. If you are not .. I'll be polite unlike you. Or call my buddies Rio de Janeiro lord of drugs to take "you for a ride" ... just kidding (or not).

Update: unfourtunatly I'm unable to host people at the moment because my grandmother is living with me therefore there is no space. But if you happen to be in Rio and got in trouble don't hesitate to contact me and I'll do my best to help you, after all I was also in trouble abroad myself couple of times and I'm so thankful to people who helped me. Or if you just want a buddy to hang out you can also count on me, my favourite place in the city is Lapa!

PHILOSOPHY

Always express yourself ... unless if you can be killed for that. Self-acceptance is better trade than try to sell an image.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I knew couch surfing in a meeting in Moscow, and I liked a lot the envoronment of interesting and open-minded people so I decided to start taking part when I returned to Rio de Janeiro. I host travellers in my place, even though I have classes and I have to work, occasionally.Despite that ,I always find time for my guests, I know it's really exciting to be in a new city and feel you have an unknown world to expolore, when I show Rio de Janeiro to travellers it's like I'm experiencing the city for the first time myself. I also do couchsurfing myself when I travel. I see couch surfing as wide net of help and share of experiences and id

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To see thousands of stars in Sahara desert, the see the view of christ statue in Rio de Janeiro for the 10th time and still find a new angle, to spend the new year in Moscow, to hug someone I hadn't seen for years, to cook the easiest dish (rice) and still burn it(it's really amazing thing to be done). Yeah only cute things because if I write the "amazing things I've seen and done" nobody will host me ;-). I tell you in bar if you (really) want.

And a shameful one, I'm not sure it's amazing, but to wear 8 clothes on myself because they couldn't fit in handpack case and I didn't want company to charge me 40 euros only for taking more than one handpack. I'm a not a freak,I'm just poor, ok? :-p
