ABOUT ME

I'm an artist and teacher and explorer! I just got married, and we're moving states, so that's an adventure. I aupaired a little bit a few years ago then couch surfing gave me the opportunity to learn and grow and travel as an proper artist. I graduated from college in Art Education, taught, then got a job graphic designing part time- I paint portraits the other part. Fun facts- I play the ukelele, I don't drink or smoke, I sing in a Jazz band at weddings and events, I'm fantastic at hula-hooping, I like being told stories and learning! I am not athletic, so I got an athletic husband so we can have more in common with people ;) We both love to try new things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a bit in college, my family was very welcoming to travelers growing up, and my husband and I hope to be as soon as we have a place that accommodates.

I went to a handful of countries in Europe and fell in love with the couchsurfing community. I still keep in touch with many of my hosts. I recently got to host my first host from Paris and we traveled through southern Utah together!

Interests

I love discussing ideas and novels and art and psychology. I especially love singing and listening to live music. I like to go to music and theatre performances and above all I treasure time with family and friends.

I have pretty varied tastes! I'm a sucker for super heroes, Jane Austen, Singing in the Rain, the secret life of Walter Mitty, princess bride, Disney movies, the brothers bloom, a good romcom with my popcorn and my sister especially! TV shows- pushing daisies is my all time fav. I also like Chuck, Psych, Brooklyn 99, Downton Abbey, Sherlock! Books- Shannon Hale, Orson Scott Card, Dickens, Austen, Harry Potter, CS Lewis... So many more!
