ABOUT ME

I appreciate each day as it comes, and I do my best to live in each moment, staying in the present - which can of course be difficult to always do :)

I grew up in the countryside and will always have a love for the outdoors, as well as the small town I grew up in. I love my family and am very close to them.

I am not shy, but I can be quiet when I first meet people - or not, it depends! I get along with mostly everyone I meet, and if I don't, I still try to, because I think everyone has good in them :)

I think of myself as a very open minded and accepting person. I enjoy and celebrate differences among people, and I think different people sharing and experiencing together is such a beautiful thing.

I love helping others, and a lot of the time I go out of my way to do it

I have experienced loss in my life, and the experience continues to shape me into a better person, with a greater understanding of what's important.

PHILOSOPHY

Those who can find enough good in any circumstance to express gratitude are typically focused on the right things.

"it is usually the weakest among us that are in most need of our kindness… and yet they receive it the least because they have no way to immediately repay it. When kindness is only shown for the sake of repayment, it becomes an investment and is no longer true kindness. our true measure of kindness is shown in how we treat those who will never repay us."

Host and surf, attend meetings -usually when I am in a new country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing so far, surfing is the BEST way to learn about a country, hands down - especially with a time (and of course budget) constraint ;)

Interessen

Charity work, volunteering, track and field, soccer, the outdoors, working hard, family time, traveling, learning about other cultures, spontaneous activities, being crazy, art/creative projects, films, laughter, nutrition, writing, event planning..so much more!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Volunteered and worked with the Roma children living in Albania. Visiting 8 Greek islands in a month and a half. Wwoofing on Lipsi island. Traveling through the Balkans.
