Born and raised in the US (Pittsburgh, PA) and developed an addiction to traveling when I studied abroad in Spain. My most recent big adventure was a backpacking trip through Southeast Asia, but I'm always planning my next trip and looking for inspiration.

Currently living in Seattle and hiking around the Pacific Northwest!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The more traveling I do, the more I realize how wrong any stereotypes about it are. It's not dangerous and scary and isn't something just wealthy people can do. The kindness of strangers and the success of couchsurfing prove that. I've met very few people traveling that weren't down to earth and genuine, and I think it's amazing that there's a network of people that are willing to share their homes and hometowns with strangers in the hope that someone would do the same for them. I'd like to use couchsurfing to meet as many of these people as I can and encourage more people to travel, both as a guest and a host.

Interests

Most of my free time is spent hanging with my dog Landon and we love to go camping and hiking. I'm always trying new things and going new places. I like yoga, rock climbing, cooking, scuba diving, kayaking, and playing in the snow. I love being outside whether its doing crazy adventure sports or just grabbing a coffee and people watching.
