I'm 27 and I work in the aged care looking after oldies that still live in their own homes. It's hard but very rewarding work and I love it :) At the moment I'm pretty focused on working and saving as I've trips planned this year to Exmouth, England, Thailand and Tasmania. However I always find time for a few drinks and a dance on the weekends. I'm currently living on my own in Scarborough which is pretty boring and I have a spare room so I'd love to host some couchsurfers to make my home more exciting.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch surfed twice through Europe and I also hosted people at my house in Canada. I've not couchsurfed or hosted for several years but a recent experience at a festival called Blazing Swan reminded me how fun it is to meet and host complete strangers!
Now that I'm settled back in Perth I thought it would be a good opportunity to get back into it :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed with my friend Tanita in Paris and Nimes, South France. Both the experiences were amazing and the hospitality of our hosts was exceptional. We also hosted people with us in perth several years ago before we began traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen so many amazing things over the past 5 weeks. Couchsurfering in Nimes, South France was a particular highlight, eating mussels, drinking and dancing on the rooftop terrace until the early hours of the morning! Seeing the doors play in Paris then running up sacre coeur and looking over the city at night. I also spent a month working at Oktoberfest in Munich which was absolutely incredible and basically every moment I spent living in Barcelona was one to remember

Teach, Learn, Share

Australian culture is all about relaxing, taking each day as it comes and don't getting caught up in the small things! I think it's important for people to learn to take a step back and enjoy the moment while they're in it rather than worry about the past or the future!
