Overview
About Me
I`m self-confessed nerd who loves to explore and learn new things. My family is all over the world, so I`ve been fortunate enough to have seen a lot of places already, including a lot of Europe, Australia, South Africa, and a fair amount of the United States. Most of all, I want to make sure my nose isn`t in a guide book for the whole trip, as well as meet people who actually live in the places I`m visiting. I`ve just moved away from my home town Vancouver to Madrid for the first time, and I want to both travel around and host people who come through my city!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I want to meet people from the places I visit, and see what the tourists usually miss, and because I want to do the same for those who come to Madrid! I love the idea behind couchsurfing, and I want to be a pat of it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh good god. Asking a girl with an English Major to name her favourite book is like asking a mother to pick her favourite child. I love fantasy books like Terry Pratchett and GRRM (obviously). I adore Margaret Atwood, Virginia Woolf, Ernest Hemingway (For Whom the Bell Tolls), Oscar Wilde, Jane Austen, Emily Brontë.
The Wire is the best TV show ever made, though I do love me some Scrubs. Love nerdy shows like Heroes Reborn, and Babylon 5. Music is a mix of 90s stuff and Punk, Indie Rock and Pop, Jazz, and other things. I love interesting lyrics and simple beautiful melodies, but also crazy mixes of different genres and styles.
I love all good food. Except Prawns (They are the cockroaches of the sea). I love to cook, and don't trust people who don't care about food.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Having tea in a cave in Sacramonte in Granada with a view of the Sierra Nevada.
