About Me
ABOUT ME
After graduating college with an extremely practical degree in "Cinema Studies" I spent two and a half years in Paris, then moved back to the States and survived a whole six months in New York before I had to attach the itch and get out again. By way of TEFLing at a kindergarten, I settled into a small town in southern Thailand where I taught for 5 months, then backpacked in SE Asia for the subsequent 3. Somewhat begrudgingly, currently back in the US and residing in Los Angeles!
I had thought it'd be a nice idea to spend the summer at home with family, enjoying the sun and celebrating the nuptials of various friends before venturing off to Australia. Now I realize I sentenced myself to a few month-long stretch of mind-numbing boredom as I scrape the funds together to head out again this fall.
To conclude, like many fellow couchsurfers, I have fallen hopelessly in love with traveling, and due to an overwhelming sensation of restlessness coupled with an incredibly indecisive nature, I find myself incapable of sticking around anywhere for long enough to set up any semblance of roots before I'm packing up and shipping out once again.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
AH I have yet to pop my couchsurfing cherry.
Interests
Foreign cultures, different languages, meeting new people - all those basic, quintessential aspects of travel. I love music, but rarely know what anyone is talking about, perhaps because I have the memory of a fish when it comes to recalling any detail (ie choose me last for your team on trivia night). I appreciate a good drama/dramedy or documentary, and love holing up the perfect nook to write (not without the most perfect ambient, mood-inducing playlist of course)

Music, Movies, and Books
"The Alchemist" = life philosophy.
The soundtrack to Drive is brilliant. Also I have listened to You Make Me Feel Good by the Satin Jackets probably 1000x in the past 6 months. If you don't know it, get yourself a little spot to yourself (preferably with a journal or sitting next to the window on a long bus ride) and let the music do the rest.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Vipassana meditation course in Nepal. One of the most completely positive, profound, beautiful experiences I've had to date. Whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone searching for happiness and inner peace.
