Hi! I'm Caitlin and I'm a 21 year old student from Scotland. I study at German and Spanish at the University of Glasgow. At the moment I'm studying for a semester in the Leibniz Universitaet Hannover and loving every minute of it.

I'm on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people all over the world. I'd also be delighted to host people when I'm back in Glasgow and show people around the beautiful city and to show off other places in Scotland.

Centres d'intérêt

My hobby is trampolining which is a type of gymnastics you do on a trampoline. I'm not particularly good at it but I train three times a week with the club at my university and I really enjoy it. I'm also a trampolining coach and I think I enjoy coaching more than I enjoy competing in competitions. I also really enjoy learning languages although I find it very frustrating sometimes. I love watching sport particularly rugby, gymnastics, athletics, football and formula 1.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I'm not really fussy about the music I listen to, I could genuinely listen to pretty much anything but I do love a good guitar player. My music taste changes quite often but at the moment I'm listening to a lot of James Bay and Will Robert. My favourite books are Alice in Wonderland, Perfume, The Hobbit, How to Train your Dragon Series (they are children's books but they are also incredible). The list could go on... I don't really have a favourite film, I prefer watching TV series'. I watch American Horror Story with my flatmate simply because I don't like violence and blood but I do still love it. Despite this, I also enjoy watching Game of Thrones. Films: I'm slowly making my way through the Marvel films but I also like crime films and also really embarrassing romantic films

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I think the most amazing thing I've done, well, certainly the most amazing experience I've had, was being an English language assistant in Spain. Before the experience, I had never taught a class, had never done a long presentation infront of an audience and I had no idea how rewarding teaching somebody could be. Afterward having taught for a month, I grew in confidence so much and as I went on teaching I decided that I would like to teach English for as long as I still love doing it.

If you want to learn or improve your English (with a Scottish twist) I would definitely be willing to help and I would try and learn some of your language if you wanted to try and teach me. I would love to be able to share my trip with you and I'd be delighted if you were willing to show me round your area. I'd also really like to tell you about Scotland and hopefully convince you to visit there (and visit me) because I think everyone should explore Scotland.

I can share knowledge about my home country Scotland and also knowledge about the two other places I have lived in, Hannover (Germany) and Torrelavega (Spain). I can recommend music for you to listen to and books for you to read. I can also offer you a place to stay if you are ever in Glasgow.
