ABOUT ME

I talk - a lot, but i also listen. I'm here because i dont just want to see the places i visit, i want to meet the locals and immerse myself in the way of life of the places i travel as much as possible. I am interested in anything you have to tell or to teach me. I love the natural world and believe that we should treasure and look after it!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to live each day to the full because the world is such a diverse and wonderful place and you never know when you wont be part of it anymore. My fear isn't in dying young, its dying old and looking back at a life not lived. I believe in the power of meeting and learning from everyone you meet because sometimes thats the only experience you will ever have of the thing they are talking to you about. I need at least 5 lifetimes to see and do everything i would like to so meeting people acts as a substitute to the things i will never see or do myself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment i'm only a couch seeker, but have aspirations to be a couch offerer when i am somewhere long enough to warrant the purchase of my own couch!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During a brief divergence from living in Melbourne to living in Adelaide i caught up with Nathan, my first couch surfing experience - we were both happy we weren't axe murderers just caught up for coffee and became quite good friends for the time that we spent together! Cant wait to sleep on someones couch!

Have made it back from 7 months of travel in South America and have a few more couch experiences to talk of. Eternally grateful to Kevin, Daniel, Nate, and Clay for their hospitality and memories i will never forget!

Learning about most things, Traveling (obviously), New experiences, Meeting new people, Animals, Nature/Environment, Things i know nothing about, Novel ideas, Keeping fit and healthy, Being challenged.

The only movies i cant watch are horror movies because they scare me to death- everything else, movie wise, book wise and music wise i'm open to :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Swam with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef; The Great Barrier Reef and Heron Island itself; swam over a shovel nosed stingray which only chose to show itself by shrugging sand off while i was directly underneath it! - scary but in heinsight - awesome. I've helped David Attenborough out of a bog when his dune buggy got stuck in shark bay as the tide rolled in! For more, you'll have to talk to me!

I have some knowledge of the natural environment and the biology of the organisms that fill it. I'm by no means an expert and am confident in the fact that i never will be, i'll be forever learning but would love to teach you about some of the animals i know about and to learn about the native animals where you're from. I am traveling to South America so i would love to learn and be proficient in Spanish!
