ABOUT ME

After living in Australia for the last two years, I'm continuing my travels to New Zealand - First stop Auckland!

I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and enjoy the city life and all it offers. Equally though, I love the outdoors and being in nature. I'm super active and always game for a big (or small) adventure. I'm a self proclaimed bike nut! Love them, all shapes and sizes, makes and models, new... old (especially old steal frame road bikes), you can't go wrong!

I'm easy going, and roll with the punches. Setbacks are what you make of them - change your perspective and you'll often find another way to step forward.

I'm travelling for the moment, so mostly using CS to surf and meet people. Once I'm more settled I'd like to repay the community and host travellers.

I'm much into folk/indie music for my day to day chores: Dan Griffin, Dan Mangan, James Vincent McMorrow, Lily & Madeline, Avalanche City.
Catch me snowboarding and it's a different story: Deadmau5, Pendulum, Guetta, Calvin Harris, Cazzette, Parov Stelar,
But then there's a whole lot of other music I listen to on a whim: Artie Shaw, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, Glen Miller, Lauren Hill, India Arie, Nina Simone, Dvorak, Beethoven, Prokofiev.

My philosophy on books is 1:1 fiction to non-fiction, though lately I've been straying more to the side of 2:1. I suppose it makes up for the five years of 0:4 while I was in school.

I love classic movies any time of day: It Happened One Night, His girl Friday, North by North west, The Philadelphia Story, Holiday Inn, White Christmas.
