ABOUT ME
After doing a 6 month long field study in Asheville, North Carolina, I returned to write my thesis at UC Santa Cruz and most recently (March 2012) graduated with degree in Community Studies concentration in alternative agriculture and food systems political economies! I went on cruise control for a couple months before departing to travel around South America this summer (June-August) and am now home in California figuring out the next move in post-grad life! yay.
Also, y'all, please don't message me day-of you needing a couch or even one day before... I need a little but more time than that! plan ahead, yo.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed all over Europe summer 2010 unofficially attached to my traveling buddy, Hana, who had an account. When I got back to the US, I signed up and couch surfed my way across (west -> east) to Asheville, where I resided for 6 months. I began hosting there in my home in Asheville over the summer (2011) and met a lot of really rad people and was happy to open my home to them! I will be in South America this summer and I hope I can surf with some great people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on a ten week long backpacking trip all over the state of California when I was 18 with 14 other people. I slept under the stars for 10 weeks straight in deserts with wild horses, on the beach in a 4 day raging storm, under thousands of years old redwoods, and next to turquoise, crystal clear swimming holes, devoid of cell phone, internet, any amenities or complications of the modern world. I spent 5 days in the woods by myself on a solo and it has to be one of the most extreme and difficult things I have done in my life. I made some of the best friends I have ever had (and still have) and really engaged myself in some of the most pristine wilderness the U.S. has to offer.
