About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to gain a deeper understanding of the world, and why people do the things they do. With this understanding, I aim to empower others to be the best that they can be- regardless of influencing factors which may prevent this.
ABOUT ME
I am a recent graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill where I studied Economics and Philosophy. While other's don't necessarily see the connection between the two majors, I found them to be quite complimentary, using the analytical thinking skills I gained from phil to contemplate and criticize Economics models. I chose these majors out of curiosity and challenge.
I spent the next few weeks after graduation living out of a van with three friends, participating in a non-profit organization called "The Bus Project." In two weeks, I went to 8 different states (Washington->Idaho->Montana->Wyoming->Utah->Colorado->Nebraska->Missouri), doing community service projects at each stop. During the time we were not volunteering, we were exploring national forests and parks, hiking, swimming, and doing yoga overlooking waterfalls=]
I take way too many pictures in yoga inversions and spend way too much time at the studio, but I like to think that yoga has made me the best version of myself that I have ever been, so sorry if I pop up into a handstand in your presence=P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This summer I spent two weeks traveling the country with "The Bus Project." (See about me). The Bus itself hit almost every state, however, I was only able to be involved for two weeks due to work. In these two weeks I learned more about myself and others than I have in a long time. Each day was an adventure and most of it was planned only days in advance. Where we were going to stay, which organization we were going to volunteer with, what hike we were going to do, how we were going to ration food, all of it part of an incredible journey. In twelve days I saw Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, The Arches, Aspen, Denver, Boulder, and so many other amazing cities and parks. I want to continue working with the organization, hopefully being involved in some capacity next summer!
For more info and a detailed blog, check out thebusproject.org. I was on the bus July 6th-July 18th.
