About Me

I'm a very curious person who's at my happiest when I'm learning about something and getting to understand the world a little bit better. I like talking to people about their everyday life and insights. Right now I'm on a research spree about the psychology of change and I also think a lot about our need for community, something I feel my own city needs more of.

Appreciating moments and coming up with mini adventures are two of my skills. Finding a view and bringing music, coffee and a friend, taking roadtrips to see the beech forest in spring or revel at the home of some historical feminist or queer writer, reading their works aloud on the way there. I feel an inexplicable affinity to Prince (not his conservative tendencies, the sing-your-heart-out-and-do-a-split-in-heels part).

I live in a house on a hill with three friends, two dogs and three cats and a great six-year-old neighbour who spends a lot of time at our place filling pet bottles with water and glitter (from our sizeable collection), talking about why the dinosaurs died, if we are girls or boys and where our parents are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

– To meet great people I might not otherwise have run into. And because the world feels better when strangers are nice to each other.

– I'm a big fan of share culture and eager to see what we can do with the world if we apply those ideas more often.

– To get a sense of network when travelling alone.
