I'm not traveling a whole lot these days, so I enjoy hosting and hearing fellow travelers stories of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

What a wonderful thing! I've hosted wonderful people, surfed with wonderful people.

Interests

Things that make me want to get out of bed: the first cup of coffee, making breakfast, going out to breakfast, visiting my garden in the summertime, sunshine

Things that keep me up late into the night: singing, learning new songs, dancing, talking about books, long debates on the important stuff, cooking, eating

Music, Movies, and Books

Lonesome Dove, Poisonwood Bible. Generally I am reading three or more books at a time, but those are two favorites. I like books strongly tied to place - perhaps you can recommend one about your place.

Music: see personal philosophy. I also have a minor obsession with Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings. And I love Nina Simone - if I could see any artist, dead or alive, in concert: she would be it.
