About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I would like to learn to speak French and Spanish fluently. Also, visit Istanbul.

ABOUT ME

i am a writer and book artist. i letterpress my projects on a old vandercook 4t press. i like to make things with my hands. i started my own publishing and printing press (www.onereddelicious.com), where i print limited edition, hand made books. I have a 2000 lbs. printing press and at the same time feel like I could live anywhere in the world at the drop of a dime. A dilemma, I know.

PHILOSOPHY

about travel: undeniably you go to a foreign place with expectations, a subtle acknowledgment that no matter how open minded you are, sometimes the stereotypes travel with you. but i still think there is a distinct difference. a tourist believes these stereotypes already exist; a traveler goes to see if they are true.

Music, Movies, and Books

favorite bands/artists: joanna newsom, PRINCE, arcade fire, regina spektor, cocorosie, and so much more. movies: pan's labyrinth, amelie, a league of their own, etc., and a lot of cheesy dance movies. please, don't make me choose my favorite book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The ballet folklorico in Mexico City was a beautiful experience. I am still haunted by the swirling colors, and that was 4 years ago.

My friend volunteered me at a concert to sing a song with the band, so I got to sing for the first time in front of 12,000 people. My heart still beats fast from thinking about it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Philippines, United Kingdom
