Hi, my name is Cat. I grew up in England but am half German too.

I currently live in Cambridge where I am a primary school teacher. It is hard work but I love it!

PHILOSOPHY

It is better to regret the things you have done, than to regret the things you never did.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attended quite a few events and weekends away through couchsurfing whilst living in Sydney. I used it to meet up with people during my Asia travels too. I have met lots of great people through it and hope to meet many more on future travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a few times and have used the site a lot to meet up with people during my travels.

Intereses

I love getting outdoors and doing sports like cycling, swimming and salsa dancing. I am currently also getting back into bouldering and have enjoyed visiting walls in different cities on recent travels!

I like a fun night at the pub.

I love to cook and bake, preferably whilst listening to Ella Fitzgerald.

Obviously I love to travel! I have done a fair bit of travelling in Australia, Europe and the Americas. I have previously lived in Vancouver and Sydney, both of which were amazing.

Música, películas y libros

I have an ecclectic music taste - indie, swing, motown, country, drum and bass. In particular a fan of cheesy 80s classics.

I love to read, my favourite author is John Irving.

I like a good comedy or drama movie, am a huge wimp when it comes to anything scary.

I have done a loop-the-loop in a plane - yes someone actually let me fly a plane!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I speak fluent German, having been raised bilingually, so can provide a bit of language practice there. I promise to try and resist the urge of teaching you rude things to say and pretending it means something else....

I love to cook veggie stuff, always like to learn new recipes from others and impart my own.

I would love to improve my spanish - I learnt a fair bit when I travelled in South America a few years ago but seem to have forgotten most of it now...
