I am a classics and film production major at Calvin College. In my spare time, I edit videos, read, write, research, watch movies, perform improv and occasionally play video games. I have always loved traveling since I was a small child as my parents raised me constantly traveling the U.S. and Europe. Despite my introversion, I thoroughly enjoy getting the opportunity to meet new people and have quality conversations with quality people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel. Traveling somewhere completely new and exploring around is very exciting for me. I saw 2 friends of mine over social media hitchhike across the majority of Europe, never renting a hotel or car but simply meeting people for rides and places to stay. That, personally, has inspired me to try and do similar whenever I can!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movies include but are not limited to Interstellar, Whiplash, Baby Driver, Apocolypse Now, Gladiator and Dunkirk.

Favorite music includes anywhere from Florence and the Machine to Capital Kings to Vampire Weekend. I am not too picky when it comes to music and always open to hearing new music!

When it comes to books I absolutely love any sort of history, theological or philosophy books though specific books/authors would be the lightning thief series, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Caesar's Gallic Wars, Hadrian and the Triumph of Rome, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to Europe twice, staying in bed and breakfast's and local housing instead of hotels in order to get a more authentic experience. I have also traveled extensively throughout the U.S., seeing the major museums and parks of the nation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have had a lot of cool and interesting experiences and I love sharing and comparing with people. That and I can have a conversation just about anything and everything. I really enjoy learning new things and listening to others tell stories about themselves (as well as my own)!
