About Me

I have a passion for travelling and experiencing the world. I have a very easy going personality and try my best to be respectful and open to new cultures. I love to listen to peoples' stories and connect on a meaningful level. I am also a competitive long-distance runner and vegan (plant-eater).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to learn about cities and cultures from a local perspective and fully immerse myself in the culture. I want to meet and connect with people and share experiences with them.

Interests

My biggest interests are travelling (of course!); I have done quite a bit of travel with my family when I was younger, including a 15 week camping trip around the outskirts of Australia and other smaller adventures, but am excited to do a lot more on my own.

Running; I have been running since I knew how to walk, and now I run for a competitive long-distance running club in the United States. For me it is a chance to be with my own thoughts, appreciate nature, and challenge my limits.

Working with computers; I am a computer systems analyst for my job, and I really enjoy learning about and fixing computer issues. Since I was very small, my parents and friends would always call on me to fix their computers (I can help if you have any computer issues!).

Spiritual growth; I believe that personal spiritual growth is an essential part of overall growth and life in general. I especially believe in self discovery, mindful meditation, and new and fulfilling experiences as tools for spiritual development.

Learning about new things; I have always had a thirst to learn new things. I am especially intrigued by books and articles about philosophy, psychology, and ethics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a one week trip to New Orleans, LA, USA during college. We learned about the history and culture, as well as seeing the massive impact that Hurricane Katrina had on the city. We enjoyed the art scene, delicious local foods, and spent most of the week painting houses with Habitat for Humanity. It was a moving, and inspiring adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about most things related to computers and running, especially. I would love to learn about you and share stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am handy with computers, can cook food, and listen and share stories. I also enjoy helping out as much as possible if it's needed (washing dishes, moving things, cleaning up, etc.).
