About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figuring out how to make this world a better place

ABOUT ME

I am very outgoing, love to socialize and explore (people, places, things), always see the glass half full, and love to learn! I also love awkward situations, especially ones created by language barriers. I love life and everything it has to offer...even the difficult things.

PHILOSOPHY

There is a reason for everything, blessings come in disguise

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed around Europe, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Korea....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went on a trip through Europe with my best girlfriend for five weeks. We spent the whole trip staying with couchsurfers....it was the most amazing thing ever and I was hooked since my first taste of CS.I went to a CS meeting in Thailand and China. I also have CSed around Western Europe and all over SE Asia

Interests

First and foremost, I am interested in you, your country, and your culture. Next, I am interested in learning, exploring, and enjoying a cultural experience. One of my life goals is to explore culture and and meet all types of people. I am outgoing, fun, adventurous, curious, and responsible. I love to cook, have long chats over some great wine/beer/whiskey/really anything, DANCE, sing, and enjoy life to the fullest. I love the outdoors (camping, river rafting (guide on the Green and Colorado rivers 5yrs), backpacking, hiking, ect.), sports (field hockey (9yrs), soccer, horse carriage driving (that is my thing, I grew up on a horse farm in New York), tennis, skiing (21yrs), ice skating, golfing, adventure, travel, ART, exploring, and learning. I love great food, wine, beer, music, and fun. I have been to France, Holland, Germany, UK, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, and China. I lived in South Korea for 7 months. I look forward to hearing from you and possibly meeting/learning from you!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy independent and foreign films. I love to read but I am currently reading boring business books to learn how to build a socially responsible and successful international business. When I traveled I read a different book a week and love getting lost in the stories.
I love all types of music except extreme heavy metal (I grew up listening to the Stones, Beatles, Motown, Bonnie Rait, ACDC, Zepplin, and all sorts of Blues and good classics) I love reggae, indi rock, and folk, and old school hip hop (Air, Daniel Johnson, Marley, Toots, Slick Rick, Dr. Dre, Wilco, Thievery Corp., etc.) However, I also love to get my groove on to some pop and hiphop (Madonna, Backstreet Boys, Black Eyed Peas, Michael Franti, anything catchy). I have a thing for languages and music from around the world...so the more different and out there music, the more I like it!I am desperate to learn another language and admire all of the rest of the world for knowing more than one language.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sorry about the cheesy philosophy but I feel as though waking up each day is a blessing. Even though I get a bit pissy by the hohum day to day stuff, I am constantly grateful for all the opportunities I have.

Teach, Learn, Share

cooking, and the ability to embrace awkwardness and your inner dork, to take risks, see the good in all situations, also, my dad taught me that smiling even when you are pissed off really does help to make you feel better, no matter how hard it is
I can also teach you some sweet "ugly" dance moves :)I' m always interested in learning how to dance, espeically, some hip shaking.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, United States
