About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet new people and have adventures!
ABOUT ME
I'm from sunny Southern California but I go to school in the DC area. I'm studying international relations and get excited about building friendships with people from different countries.
I love traveling and meeting new people. I love to explore nature and really enjoy hiking and camping. I will always be a California girl and love relaxing on the beach. I consider myself pretty active and am up to try anything. I love eating and trying new foods too.
In my free time I'm typically reading, hanging out with my friends (love cafes!), catching up on current international affairs, going out dancing, walking around the city with no destination, and trying to find cool thrift stores. I enjoy looking through fashion magazines and getting ideas for colorful outfits.
After I graduate, I'm hoping to go into human rights research (if that's an occupation) or work for an international non-profit or activist organization. I love talking about literature, music, art, cultures, politics, and typical girl stuff too. This summer I'm hoping to take up mountain biking.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life to love other people and better understand different cultures. I'm open for new experiences and enjoy having adventures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It's so great to be able to meet new people in such an easy and fun way. I love seeing people's generosity and kindness in offering their couch to other travelers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had two fantastic experiences couchsurfing in Paris and Zurich, Switzerland. I just want to spread the love.
Interests
I like a lot of things, but most importantly I just love to be outside and enjoy nature. Of course I love spending a rainy day reading, but being outside is the best. I really really love drinking tea and recently became addicted to cappuccinos (thanks Italy!). I'm always up for new adventures too.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like to think that I'm a big reader, but I'm probably not. I typically read the classics and my favorites are "East of Eden" by Steinbeck and "Anna Karenina" by Tolstoy. But my all time favorite book is "The Hobbit". I'm a ridiculously huge Lord of the Rings fan and could talk all day about how great Tolkien is (but only if you let me, don't worry).
My music taste varies but typically I stick to alternative, indie, rock, and folk. I also enjoy jazz and classical. Some of my favorite bands include: Jars of Clay, Coldplay, Sufjan Stevens, No Doubt, Sting (and also The Police), Broken Social Scene, Feist, Tegan and Sara, Band of Horses, Paul Simon, Diana Krall, John Mayer, Death Cab for Cutie, Eisley, and Wir Sind Helden.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a really bad memory so it would take me awhile to think of something cool. But recently I participated in a worldwide "freeze" while I was in Copenhagen. There were a bunch of people that got together and froze in Copenhagen central train station for 5 minutes straight. It was pretty sweet.
