About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to be a source of silly, intellectual, genuine experience.

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in small town, Arizona. I lived in Fort Collins for 8 years, working on my B.S. and M.S. in environmental engineering. I had a brief stint in Crested Butte, ski bumming. I moved to Houston area briefly for work, then New Jersey for work, now heading back to Houston for love. I like bouldering and biking (road and mountain) and boardgames and books and beer.

PHILOSOPHY

Be gentle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To build community.

Interests

I really like bikes. I've bikepacked a couple months in the Andes, a couple months in the Rockies, and a couple weeks in the Sierra Nevada.

I like boardgames. Think Carcassonne, Race for the Galaxy, Through the Ages, Imperial Settlers, Caverna, Terra Mystica.

Snowboarding. More recently, paragliding. Bouldering/climbing is a big one too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movie - Captain Fantastic

Books - My favorite book of all time might be "Rain of Gold" by Victor Villasenor. "Women Who Run with the Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estes is important. More recently I enjoyed "The Goldfinch" by Donna Tart.

Music - Elephant Revival, Shakey Graves, and Tallest Man, Sylvan Esso, Laura Marling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to bed on time once.

Teach, Learn, Share

More of the same. Bikes, beer, boardgames, bouldering, knitting, long walks on the beach.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Bad jokes and a six pack.
