About Me

[Note: Hey you great men, when I request to stay, it's been after I read through your profile and look at your interests and into your face in your pics to get a vibe of who you are. I don't make a request with intentions of sex, and if you are homo, please don't expect sex as payment of a stay. I'm wanting cultural exchange, common interests, amazing conversations. I'm not uptight about that topic, but last year taught me some accept a request with intention of sexual favors, and, well...that can be awkward. Just thought I'd put that out there. And I love straight people, as I've pretended to be one most of my life. Haha. Should I delete all references in my profile to groups that have "gay" in them? I'm tempted to do so. I don't want that to be any bearing on who I stay with or host, or who offers to host me].

CURRENT MISSION: SPIRITUAL AWAKENING, SELF DISCOVERY, OPENING TO THE MYSTICAL, Appreciating Art and Natural as well as Man Made Beauty, Culture, friendships.

Flying into Rome in August 2018 and will sail the Adriatic with a new found friend for a few weeks. We've had almost a year in correspondence. Then I'll be heading to Venice, a city that absolutely stunned me last year when I visited only a day. I just saw a picture of a wide canal with the gorgeous buildings on both sides in someones profile and it brought tears to my eyes. So rare that beauty such as that is built and appreciated. What a contrast to the disgusting ugliness of architecture where I live in Provo, Utah, and the rest of the USSA (United Soviet States of Amerika).

I have had amazing people come into my path in the last 3 years, people who are connected to the mystical, who see angels, spirit guides, are attuned to the astral plane or world of spirits. They speak of chakras and energy work, astral travel via meditation as the vehicle to reach other dimensions. I'm loving this and have had a few sweet little experiences that bolster my playfulness to believe and be like a little child, to be open to the magical, that some of this is legitimate stuff.

I'm turning hippy, almost, as I want to be outside gardening all day, and as naked as possible. Lol.

I love new places, people, ideas, cultures.
I love grand buildings, gardens and spaces. I want to sculpt beautiful statuary.

ABOUT ME

I have a huge range of interests, fitness, nutrition, art, education, culture, architecture, politics, peace and love. It is fun exploring this vast globe, though my travels are most minimal, but soon I'm off to Europe and other places after that, not knowing where I'll end up. It's a sort of risky and scary endeavor, but I'm excited.

TRAVEL GOALS

Normally and by nature somewhat an "intellectual introvert," as interest and personality tests once revealed. I was shy as a kid, painfully so when strangers came around, I'd disappear until they left. I've moved out of that introversion in adulthood, finding people fascinating, loving to talk, learn and appreciate interaction with new people as well as friends of many years.

TRAVEL HOPES AND GOALS

Before arriving in Europe in June 2017: Truly, I want to meet a ton of men, just get a flavor of men on an international scene.

Now: I'm preferring straight people. Vastly simplified to hang with straight people especially in terms of couch surfing. Straight guys don't want me in their bed, and that is a relief (though not in theory).

I'm straight friendly and low key.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was looking at traveling to Costa Rica, contacted some travelers down there who had posted some things on Craigslist. They first told me of couch surfing. I didn't quite know what that was, taking a couch out into the surf? I recall (being from Utah) watching couches move down ski slopes at the end of the season when people strapped skis on them, sort of a fun but ridiculous thing to do as a joke, 'hey look, it's a couch on skis".

After being established, I'd love to host people.

While living out of my car for 5 months along the Southern California coastline I've met amazing international travelers, from Europe and Asia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is the best kept secret on earth for travelers. Amazing people---oh the people I've met. So totally cool. Meeting them is a spiritual and emotional and ofttimes intellectually inspiring engagement.

Interests

Fitness, health, nutrition, Constitutional studies, current events, arts, sculpture, painting, digital media, weight training, swimming, body surfing, architecture, landscaping, gardening, philosophical discussions, great literature, theater, cinema, cooking, energy independence,

Also I'm amazed at how much I love nude beaches and losing clothing, stripping naked when possible, would love to find venues in my travels that are open for that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I loved "The Creature From Jekyll Island" which is an absolutely must read by every American, authored by Telly Award winning G. Edward Griffin. I felt inspired and drawn to read that book. I remember when I first saw it, and I think it was in the cards of me to pick it up and read it.

John Taylor Gatto's "Dumbing us Down" was loaned to me last year by a teacher, and it proved to be magnificent. I tutored high school boys last year taking college classes and read to them from that book every night for a month. If you want to gain trust and have kids eating right out of your hand---if you want to really drill into something that will raise passion in them, read them this book, subtitled "The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling," and of course the author is a two time teacher of the year in New York.

I love all sorts of genre's, especially the "masters" through the centuries, at least their best work. I find most of opera I don't care for, but some of it is the most beautiful music on earth. A violin can make the most horrid noise, yet too the most sublime strains of sound.

I generally find that most of "pop culture" is indeed "dumbed down" and overally I hold little appreciation for most of it, but rather contempt. Crazy, huh? An odd ball? Absolutely!

I listened to the creator of a documentary film some years ago tell how his film shown to high school seniors caused their jaws to drop. They watch MTV and think they are watching a live concert, but really it is a mass infomercial, telling them how to dress, think, behave, and pretend to be "cool" and "rebelious." What a sham the culture is, who are the pied pipers? What big execs choose the top 40? Who votes on that?

Another curious thing, a PBS aired documentary by a sharp Black guy who would be the epitome of what boys would want to be like and emulate (tall, handsome, muscular, well spoken, articulate, etc.) showed the very selective decisions within the music industry on which Rappers they would promote. Only those with violence, hate, and other negative features were granted deals, while very talented rappers with positive messages to youth were barred from any deals and contracts. There is an effort to "influence culture" and some of the elite boast of it.

Check out David Rockefeller's "Memoirs" published in 2002. On page 405 he boasts of "conspiring against the best interests of the United States" and of being part of a "secret cabal" working to bring about a "new world"---his term, not mine. And do high elite folks like him love to see American culture in decline and American's turned stupid? Absolutely. And such is American Pop culture. (I hope I haven't made enemies.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On July 27, 2017 I was attacked in a Paris park by 4 black guys who tried to steal my phone. They attacked me from behind and repeatedly all just kicked me. I'm still alive and they didn't get my phone. I fought back as best I could.

I was the main character in a motion picture filmed when I was in the 3rd and 4th grade. My character died in a graveyard undergoing an initiation into a boys club.

I served an LDS (Mormon) mission to Spain when 19 years old. No longer active in the religion, I like to discuss many religious themes, but more so, the mystical things I'm learning about now.

Teach, Learn, Share

Powerful concept. Truly learning from other people is where it is at. What a great community. I love nothing more than sharing and learning from others. People coming together and sharing their passions is an amazing thing.

What would I share? A thousand interests, if anyone wanted to hear. I couldn't even begin here to make a list.

What would I learn? I would love to learn how others live life successfully, what makes them tick, what their hopes and dreams are and how the find solutions to their problems, what gives them hope to plan and set goals. I believe every person I meet is my superior in always at least one way---but truly in surely a nearly universal reality, my superior in thousands of ways. I believe we can learn from all people as we search for the good in each one.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can clean and like to do so, cook, or do whatever I can to be of help to the hosts and as least of a burden as possible.

I can talk politics and religion all the day long, but who wants to talk of that kind of stuff?

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
